Rug 5656 Wide Ruins

This 1980′s weaving by Emma Roan epitomizes the Wide Ruins style with banding that is at once impressively complex and simply elegant. Emma used a muted palette of vegetally dyed yarns from our trading post to achieve fine detailing within her pattern, which is woven with approximately 60 weft rows per inch. The previous owner mounted it using velcro which is attached to the frame, but the weaving is freely removable from the mounting. Although the weaving is a few years old, it is in new condition.

Emma lives in Wide Ruins, AZ and no longer weaves.
