This large 1980′s weaving by Jennie Slick is just waiting to be the central focus of a room in your home. The rug has classic, subtle elegance and has been so well cared for that it is in new condition. Jennie’s weaving has brought her prizes when she’s been able to hang onto it long enough to get it into a competition. Jennie’s mastery of weaving techniques is evident in the detail pictures below. Her hallmark is visible in the lower right corner of the large picture at left. Today, she weaves solely on a commission basis, so it has been quite a few years since we have had one of her rugs in our gallery. Jennie’s work has appeared in several books and she is a nationally recognized teacher of Navajo techniques.

Jennie lives in the Querino Canyon area and provides care for her elderly mother in addition to maintaining an active weaving and teaching schedule.
